Every 10 am, there is a rosary group I participate in which started during the Covid time. Back then there were so many people who got sick and there were many people who passed away. Because of this people realize two things: we have to go back to God and we have to prepare ourselves for heaven. How then, is the best way to prepare for heaven?
In the Gospel today, Jesus tells us: “I am Way, the Truth and the Life.”
- First, Jesus said, “I am the Way”. During the time of Jesus, there were many other religions, there were many other philosophies, and there were many other prophets. What did Jesus say, “I am the only way to God and no other”.
- Second, Jesus said, “I am the Truth”. The words that Jesus spoke were from the Father. Hence, they are the truth. If we remove God, we do not know the truth.
- Third, Jesus said, “I am the Life”. When Jesus was on earth, if there was one thing he taught in words and indeed especially during the most difficult times of life – Trust God. Even in the most difficult times of our lives, we trust God by doing what is right, speaking the truth and fighting evil.
In today’s Mass, we are all encouraged to look at life not only economically and politically, but also spiritually. Yes, there are so many spiritual movements, so many philosophies and so many other religions. Yet the best one is the only one. When Christ was on earth he only founded one Church – the Catholic Church. We pray that we get to know Jesus more through the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.
